The EU is planning to ban the import of Chinese food products for babies and children containing milkas an ingredient following the deaths of four babies in China. Tens of thousands of babies are suffering illness in China through consuming milk products contaminated with melamine.
Consumers are asked to be especially careful when purchasing milk or products derived from milk, such as sweets, biscuits or chocolate, which originates in China. Such products, however, tend to be limited to sale in the various Chinese bazaars located in many cities in Spain.
