A smiling seven year old boy has been filmed killing rare reptiles and feeding live ones to a crocodile at the Alice Springs Reptile Centre in Australia.
The boy climbed over the perimeter fence and managed to avoid various sensor alarms as he went on his killing spree, battering the reptiles with stones. Others he threw over the fence to a 3.3 metre long saltwater crocodile named ‘Terry’.
Amongst the animals killed were two bearded dragons, a turtle, four Western blue-tongued lizards, two thorny devil lizards and a twenty year old goanna.
The boy is too young to prosecute in the Northern territory, children under ten years of age being deemed not accountable for their actions, so the zoo is considering suing the parents as the boy was supposedly under their control.
