Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero is due to meet with the presidents of the major Spanish banks early this evening to analyse the current financial situation in Spain with regard to the general economic climate.
Expected to be present are representatives of the BBVA, Banco Popular, Banco de Santander, Caja Madrid, La Caixa and Unicaja.
