Work has started on the construction of the 13 VPO (Council subsidised) homes in La Noria and the lucky owners could be in their new homes by 2010.
The homes, promoted by the Empresa Pública de Vivienda de la Diputación (Emprovima) on land ceded by the Nerja Council, are being built by the company Estructuras y Vías S.L. with a total budget of €1,252,602.76 and a completion period of 18 months.
There were 807 applications for these 13 houses, available at a price of €136,349, and the future occupants were chosen by means of a lottery.
