Real Madrid have slipped to second spot in group H of the Champions League after suffering a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Juventus. Del Piero opened the scoring for Juve, with Amario adding a second. Ruud van Nistelrooy pulled one back for Real but it wasn’t enough.
Villarreal are second in group E, behind Manchester United, on goal difference after a 6-3 win over the Danish side Aalborg. A hat-trick from half time substitute Llorente did the damage. Rossi, Pires and Capdevila were the other scorers for Villarreal, Saganowski, Enevoldsen and Johansson getting the goals for Aalborg.
