The El Corté Inglés group has opened its new centre in Sevilla Este, occupying the old San Pablo Hipercor premises near the start of the A-92.
The group has invested €100 million in the project, doubling the size of the original premises to 14,000 aquare metres and increasing the number of parking spaces from 1,496 to around 2,000.
A new Hipercor centre is being built in Aljaraque (Huelva) and there are also short to medium term plans for centres in El Ejido, Almería, and Córdoba.
The establishment in Sevilla Este includes both a Hipercor hypermarket and the Tiendas El Corte Inglés.
