Barcelona’s run of victories comes to an end

Barcelona’s run of nine victories came to an end yesterday after they were held to a 1-1 draw by visitors Getafe. Manu del Moral opened the scoring for Getafe in the twentieth minute and it wasn’t until well into the second half that Eto’o grabbed an equaliser.

The Blue and Whites traveled to Mallorca and came away with one point after a 2-2 draw. An own goal from Ramis put Málaga ahead, but Josemi equalised six minutes later. Duda then re-established the lead for Málaga before the break but this was cancelled out by a goal from Webó in the second half.

Xerez remain on top in Division Two after Salamanca were beaten 3-1 by Elche. Niño, Fyster and Saúl put Elche three-up before Quique Martín pulled one back late in the game via a penalty.

Local lads CD Nerja played out a goalless draw on their trip to La Puerta CD and are currently sixth in the Primera Andaluza Grupo 3. Mancha Real still lead the way, this time disposing of Barrios NS Remedios 0-2. Álcala continue to let in far less goals these days, only losing 2-0 to Alhaurín de la Torre. Just need to find a way to actually score the odd goal now, having managed only two so far this season.
