The Nerja Fire Brigade should be moving to its temporary new home within one month according to Councillor Antonio Miguel Navas.
The temporary home is a plot at the Burriana roundabout, originally destined for the new Health Centre, and the Fire Brigade will remain there until work on the new Fire Station on the Frigiliana road is complete. The project is expected to start at some point next year.
For the temporary site, the Consorcio Provincial de Bomberos (Provincial Consortium of Firefighters) will arrange for the concreting of the area, a metal fence and a few prefabricated huts.
