Members of the Maritime Service of the Guardia Civil have intercepted a small boat, not in very good condition, with 37 illegal immigrants on board.
The surveillance system SIVE (Servicio Integral de Vigilancia Exterior) located the boat this morning about 12 miles off the Granada coast between Castell de Ferro and Castillo de Baños.
All those on board are adult males and are all said to be in good health. After their arrival in Motril, where they were provided with medical assistance and food by the Red Cross, the passengers were handed over to the National Police who will process the necessary paperwork relating to repatriation.
