Weekend footy

Real Madrid are up to third place in La Liga after a 1-0 win over Villarreal, Robben getting the only goal.  Not an emphatic win, Casillas having to work ovrtime to keep out the shots, but a win is a win.

Sevilla could only manage a 1-1 draw against Osasuna. Jesús Navas gave Sevilla the lead early in the second half, but an injury time equaliser from Pandiana meant they shared the points.

The Blue and Whites overcame Sporting 1-0, climbing to eight place and only four points behind Villarreal. Lolo headed in a Duda corner to give Málaga C.F. victory.

In Division Two, all the top sides drew their matches. Salamanca twice came from behind against Las Palmas to earn a 2-2 draw and remain top of the pile.

Darino and Marcos Márquez scored for the islanders, Jorge Alonso and Dañobeita getting the goals for Salamanca.

Second placed Zaragoza drew 1-1 with Albacete. Braulio opened the scoring and for a long time it looked like the three points were in the bag, but a late penalty, converted by Diego Costa, made it all square.

In the Primera Andaluza Grupo 3, local lads C.D. Nerja were 2-1 winners against Fuengirola. Leaders Mancha Real beat Baeza C.F. 3-0 and second placed El Palo beat Martos C.D. 2-1.
