Power has now been restored to all the residents of Alcaucín, Arenas, Sayalonga, Vélez-Málaga, Árchez, Canillas de Aceituno, Cómpeta, Periana, Salares and Sedella after power cuts left some people without elictricity for 40 hours.
The snow at the weekend caused a problem with a medium-voltage line of the Torre del Mar substation and over 7,000 people were left in the dark and the cold.
A large percentage of residents were reconnected fairly quickly, but some were left without power for up to 40 hours.
The Junta de Andalucía has ordered an investigation into the causes of the problem and measures being taken by Sevillana-Endesa to ensure that it does not happen again.
