A total of 236 people have put their names forward for the latest batch of 12 VPO, subsidised, houses to be built in Nerja.
The period for applications opened on December 9th 2008 and the closing date was Monday January 19th.
The 12 houses are to be built in the Las Gaviotas area, near to the Enrique López Cuenca Sports Stadium, and will end up costing between €112,262 and €128,458 plus tax.
One of the houses is being made available to a victim of gender violence and, as there is only one such application, provided she meets all the necessary requirements, we have a winner already.
The rest of the houses in the various categories will be decided by lottery.
