A boat carrying 73 illegal immigrants was intercepted yesterday off the Granada coast.
The boat was eventually intercepted about 40 miles from the coast. One of the women on board the boat had signalled for help as they were apparently lost in the fog. However, she gave the wrong coordinates and a plane had to be used to locate the boat.
Of those on board, 18 were women, one of whom is pregnant, and 5 young children. They are all now in the port of Motril awaiting processing.
