Police officers in Marbella have arrested seven individuals, three of them minors, on suspicion of being responsible for 41 burglaries in the Nueva Andalucia area.
The group, all Spanish, chose houses or establishments close to where they lived in order to be able to rapidly transfer the stolen goods which not only included such things as jewellery, computers, phones and tv’s, but also large items such as washing machines and fridges.
One of the gang was a local security guard who was able to provide information on the best times to rob somewhere, layout of the building and what to take once they were inside.
The Police have managed to reacquaint some of the legitimate owners with their missing property.
