A fourth person has now been detained in connection with the disappearance, and presumed death, of Marta del Castillo. The identity of the fourth detainee is not yet known.
Meanwhile, hundreds of people gathered outside the court in Sevilla shouting ‘murderers’ as Miguel Carcaño, who has confessed to killing the girl, and Samuel Benítez, charged as an accomplice, made their appearance.
Benítez, a friend of Miguel Carcaño, is alleged to have helped with the removal of the body of the dead girl. He is only fifteen years old.
The search for the body of Marta del Castillo has resumed today in seven areas along the Rio Guadalquivir.
