The Lions Club of Nerja will be giving a talk and showing a video about their various and diverse activities, not only locally but also worldwide.
The programme is as follows:
- ‘Sight first’ – dedicated to preventing eye disease and blindness.
- Re-cycling of plastic bottle tops to raise funds to purchase wheelchairs for the disabled.
- Newly built village in Sri Lanka where 5 houses have been built with money sent from Nerja Lions Club as part of a Tsunami relief programme.
- Involvement in youth services and youth support.
- Financial aid to people and organizations in urgent need.
- Participation in the traditional events and celebrations in Nerja.
- Information about their main fund raising source from the Sunday Market in partnership with the Nerja Town Hall.
This all takes place at the Nerja Cultural Centre, calle Granada 45, in Nerja on Tuesday February 24th at 12:00.
