Sixteen people have been arrested in Málaga in connection with a series of robberies in the capital and the surrounding area. All the detainees are aged between 20 years and 30 years old.
The arrests follow a police investigation into an increase in robberies in the area and, so far, those arrested have been linked to eight specific incidents. These are: a school and a social club in Churriana, a warehouse in calle Bodegueros, two vehicles and a restaurant in Alhaurín de la Torre, a sausage warehouse in Alhaurín El Grande and a private home in Málaga.
Raids on the homes of the accused have resulted in the seizure of plasama TV’s, audiovisual equipment, a boat, drugs and various tools and appliances. Most of the items have been identified as proceeds of the robberies.
