Asphalting on the A-7 in Benalmádena

Asphalting work has begun on the 7 kilometre stretch of the A-7 between the exits for Fuengirola and Arroyo de la Miel, a road full of bumps and one which has had little attention for the past decade, despite being used by 120,000 vehicles each day.

The cost of the works is €1.5 million and the asphalting is expected to be completed by Easter, barring unforseen problems of course.

The initial idea was to carry out the work throughout the day and night in order to minimise the implementation time, but the revised plan will see the work being carried out only at night. This was decided in order to minimise inconvenience to motorists and with regard to road safety.
