Miguel Carcaño, the youth who has confessed to the murder of sevillana Marta del Castillo, has been testifying in court again, maintaining his involvement in killing the girl and subsequently disposing of the body with the help of friends.
A crowd of around 200 people gathered at the courthouse as Miguel Carcaño and others involved in the case arrived for the hearing.
Despite the confession, there are apparently still a number of discrepancies and contradictions relating to the actual timeline of events and in the disposal of the body. Miguel Carcaño still maintains that Marta’s body was thrown in the Rio Guadalquivir, although extensives searches and dredging of sections of the river by the authorities have failed to locate any trace of the girl.
