Yet another project is now in the pipeline, renovation of Plaza Cantarero, or Orange Square as it is often known. This joins Plaza Cavana, Plaza de la Ermita and Plaza de Andalucía on the list of pending projects.
This latest project has a budget of €230,000 and a completion period of five months. It is also one of the projects promised in the PP election manifesto.
The garden areas will be improved, pergolas installed and the paved area will extend to calle San Miguel to make it one large pedestrian area and making best use of the space. The idea is also to keep it in the same style, for the want of a better word, as the current square.
The renovations are being financed equally by the Municipal Council and local businesses.
