Andy Murray reached the semi-finals of the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami with a fairly easy 6-1 6-2 victory over Fernando Verdasco, the man who beat him in the Australian Open earlier this year.
World numero uno Rafael Nadal was the second Spaniard to fall at the quarter-final stage, losing 6-4 3-6 7-6 to Argentinian Juan Martin del Potro.
