Hotel occupancy in Andalucía expected to be around 80% during Holy Week

As three million people take to the roads in Andalucía for the Holy Week holday period, hotel occupancy in the region is expected to be around the 80% mark, pretty similar to last year.

While many are heading for a break by the sea, others are heading to cities like Granada and Córdoba for the traditional Easter parades. In some places, the processions have already started, celebrating ‘Viernes de Dolores’.

As far as the tourist trade is concerned, expectations are that stays in the various resorts will be shorter than in previous years and spending will be reduced. Because of this, overall turnover is likely to be very similar to the same period in 2008.
