A sixteen month old baby is in the Hospital Materno Infantil in Málaga after being attacked by a dog, a German shepherd.
A family were spending a few days with friends in Pedregalejo when the incident occurred. The dog was in the garden, playing happily with the other children, when the babysitter decided to join them, leading the toddler by the hand.
The dog then rushed at the child and bit him on the head, causing severe wounds. He was rushed to hospital where his condition is now described as stable.
A neighbour said the dog had never shown any signs of aggression in the past but offered the suggestion that the animal could have been upset due to the fact that it’s owner died one month ago.
