Council to fund Castillo Alto improvements

Councilors and technicians have met with the President of the Owners Association of Castillo Alto to work out an approach to improving the infrastructure on the industrial estate which is, to say the least, inadequate.

The Councilor for Infrastructure, José Alberto Tomé Rivas, the Mayor, José Alberto Armijo Navas, and technicians from the Department of Infrastructure made the trip up to Castillo Alto to meet with the president of the Owners Association, Mariano López.

The Councilor for Infrastructure is proposing a three phase plan for the area:

  1. Improvements to the road network
  2. Improvements to lighting
  3. Cleaning of the estate

Technicians will now begin working on the various reports necessary to present a plan for approval by the businesses on the industrial estate.

Earlier, the Owners Association had requested the Council to arrange a loan for such works, repayable over a period of eight years, but it now seems likely that the Council will actually fund the entire project.
