A 44 year old farm worker died on Sunday near the Barranca del Sol in Almogía after his tractor hit a rock and overturned.
The tractor appears to have hit a rock during ploughing and then rolled several times before the man was thrown clear. He then fell down an embankment. Due to the difficulty of the terrain, it took firefighters several hours to retrieve the body.
The farmer suffered severe head injuries in the accident. An autopsy is being carried out.
