Sunday May 3rd is the Dia de la Cruz (Day of the Cross) in Nerja and anyone wanting to take advantage of financial assistance for the preparation of crosses needs to do so before April 25th.
An amount of €60 is available towards the general cost for each cross and €30 for crosses prepared by children. For crosses to be eligible for the numerous prizes on offer, up to €500 in value, entries have to be registered. This can be done at the Nerja Cultural Centre in calle Granada, or by calling 95 252 01 90 / 95 252 38 63 between 10:00 and 14:00.
Crosses not registered will not be visited by the judges and will not be eligible for financial assistance or any of the prizes.
The municipal cross will be on display on the Balcón de Europa from 12:00 on Sunday May 3rd.
