The Nerja Council is not impressed by the latest ‘noises’ from the Junta de Andalucía regarding a possible September start to tender proceedings for the proposed water treatment plant.
The Councilor for Infrastructure, José Alberto Tomé, said that they have been hearing the same thing for years now, and still nothing has been done. He pointed out that the land for the new plant, located in Fuente del Baden, was made available several year ago.
The Councilor lamented the total lack of documentation and technical data on the project and said that the delays in implementing such an important facility amounted to a dereliction of duty on the part of the regional and central governments.
