Maritime Rescue Service officers have recovered the body of a 71 year old man in the waters between Barbate and Cabo Trafalgar.
At around 10:15 on Sunday morning, the vessel ‘Salinero II’ reported seeing a body floating in the sea. A helicopter confirmed the location and passed this on to the rescue vessel ‘Salvamar Dhube’ which then recovered the body and transported it back to Barbate.
According to documentation found on the body, the decease was a 71 year old male of Portuguese nationality. It is though that the body had been in the water for at least 10 days.
