A 60 year old man and a 12 year old boy were injured on Saturday when their light aircraft crashed at a small airfield in the Axarquía.
The incident occurred at around 15:55 as the small plane attempted to take off during windy conditions. Strong gusts caught the plane and sent it crashing back down to earth.
The man and the boy managed to exit the plane unaided but were then taken to a health centre in Vélez-Málaga for a check-up. Their injuries were said to be ‘not serious’.
