The tram in Vélez-Málaga certainly seems to be involved in more than its fair share of accidents, the latest occurring on Monday evening.
A car crashed into the tram at the roundabout junction of calle Las Arenas, calle Azucarera and avenida de Andalucía in Torre del Mar. The car lost its bumper in the incident but the tram only suffered a few scratches to its paintwork.
The car driver didn’t stop after the accident and is now being hunted by the police. Officials are studying the ‘black box’ on the tram (yes, trams have a black box it seems) to determine exactly what happened.
