Fifth San Fermin bull run passes without major incident

The fifth bull run at the San Fermin festival in Pamplona, one day after the tragic death of young Madrileño Daniel Jimeno Romero, passed without major incident or injuries.

Coinciding with the start of the weekend, the crowds and number of runners were more than on the preceding days.

The race, with bulls from the farm of sevillana Dolores Aguirre, was completed in just under three minutes, despite one of the bulls becoming separated from the main pack. There were one or two attempts by the bulls to snag the runners but no-one was injured.

One of the bulls slipped at the end of calle Mercaderes, causing the runners to bunch up, but once again the incident passed without injuries.
