The Council is set to carry out repair works in the case of an apartment block in calle Mérida illegally connected to the storm drainage system which resulted in residual waters being dumped into the Rio Chillar.
The Council is acting after the Comunidad de Propietarios (Owners Association) failed to carry out the work themselves as required by article 155.1 of the Vigente Ley de Ordenación Urbanística de Andalucía and under rule 10 of the Reglamento de Disciplina Urbanística.
The cost of the repairs, estimated at €1,000, will be charged to the owners of the building.
