Ronda Council has launched a new municipal ordinance to regulate coexistence and protect public spaces and one of the provisions contained therein will allow people aged between 14 years and 29 years the possibility to perform community service rather than pay fines.
The new ordinance covers such things as prohibiting the leaving of animals on balconies or terraces as it may disturb the peace of neighbours, making noise inside buildings between 22:00 and 08:00 and playing loud music in moving vehicles or in parked vehicles with the windows open.
The Councillor for Environment, Rafael Flores, heralds the new ordinance as a a ‘breakthrough in combating the noise pollution’.
