The Supreme Court has upheld the conviction of former Chief Inspector  Juan Antonio Rodríguez Romero, head of the National Police in Ronda, for bribery relating to obtaining favours in brothels.

Man rescued from well

A 37-year-old man had to be rescued on Sunday after getting stuck in a well while trying to rescue his dog.

Ronda demands completion of improvements to access roads

Ronda Council is once again demanding that the Junta de Andalucia complete the works to improve the access roads to the town, a project with a budget of €17 million but which has been paralysed for three years due to payment problems with the contractor.

The Three Kings have been chosen

The Three Kings in Ronda have been chosen, with Martín Vivas (Asociación de Peñas de Ronda) as Melchior, Mario Lara (Asociación de la Pequeña y Mediana Empresa de Ronda) as Gaspar and Alfonso Marín (from the Brotherhoods) as Balthasar. Carmen Torres (Association of Support for People with Cancer) will be the Royal Postman.
