Málaga feria begins tonight, with around six million visitors expected over the nine days of celebrations.
The celebrations begin on La Malagueta beach with a pregón (opening speech) by local actor Manuel Bandera followed by a grand firework display lasting about twenty minutes (7 tons of fireworks being used) and the ‘Sun Festival’ featuring Estopa, Kate Ryan and Despistaos.
Over 100 performances featuring 1,500 artists will take place over the nine days of celebrations, some of those taking part being Nena Daconte, Pitingo, Malú, Melendi, Amaia Montero, José Mercé, Conchita and El Sueño de Morfeo.
