An estimated 8,000 people attended the ninth annual Fiesta de los Viñeros in Moclinejo yesterday.
The streets were lined with ‘tasting stations’, with 600 kilos of grapes, 500 litres of Muscatel wine, 300 litres of gazpacho and 100 kilos of borrachuelos on offer to keep everybody suitably fed and watered.
The land around Moclinejo produces some of the finest Muscatel grapes in the Axarquia and this year, the heavy winter rains have resulted in a very good crop.
