Storms yesterday caused damage in many parts of Málaga province, the town of Yunquera being particularly badly hit.
Up to 60 litres per square metre of rain fell in the Sierra de las Nieves, causing flooding and damage to homes and crops. Much of the agricultural damage has yet to be assessed.
Some houses suffered flooded basements, with the water being one metre deep in places. Hail did not help things as it led to many pipes becomming clogged.
