Getting around Torre del Mar will be a little more complicated as from today with one of the main access roads, calle Angustias, closed to traffic until at least the start of the new year.
A comprehensive renovation project is the reason for the closure of one of the main routes into Torre del Mar from Vélez-Málaga. The entire underground infrastructure is being renewed and a new pavement is being constructed.
The problems will be compounded by the partial closure, as from today, of avenida de Andalucía. Works on this road were suspended for the summer but are now starting up again. Avenida de Andalucía will be single lane in the direction Almería-Málaga.
If that wasn’t enough, part of avenida de Toré Toré will also be closed. Local Police are signalling alternative routes for motorists and will also be more in evidence during the building works to ensure drivers stick to the rules!
