The debts of public enterprises in Andalucía rose by 55.7% during the second trimester of 2009 according to figures released by the Bank of Spain.
The amount of debt now stands at €271 million, accounting for 1.9% of the debts owed by the various autonomous communities in Spain, the total figure being €14,184 million.
There are seven communities whose debts are less than those of Andalucía, these being:
- La Rioja: €7 million
- Extremadura: €15 million
- Cantabria: €23 million
- Murcia: €29 million
- Asturias: €192 million
- Galicia: €199 million
- Castilla y León: €199 millon
