Police in Córdoba have detained four men who stole 2,000 metres of copper cable from the Arcángel football stadium in Bailén, leaving the whole place without lighting.
In the early hours of the morning, the four thieves, of East European origin, entered the stadium in a van and proceded to pilfer 16 tubes of copper wire, each 140 metres in length. The whole stadium was left in darkness as a result of the theft with not even a light in the changing rooms.
The club are confident that their match against Nástic will go ahead on Sunday as planned.
