The new Social Services Centre is now expected to be finished in April of next year having had to overcome the usual ‘technical difficulties’ and delays.
The new building, on two floors and with a basement, is located behind calle San Miguel near the Mercadona supermarket (the old site of the Motos Cereto garage before it burned down).
The project is budgeted at €471,000 and is being financed by the Junta de Andalucia (60%) and the Nerja Council (40%). Social Services is currently in temporary accommodation in the Giner de los Rios centre.
