New Ronda wine centre could be ready in the autumn

The Centro Integral del Vino de Ronda (CIV) – Ronda Wine Centre – is expected to open its doors in the autumn, according to the Council. The building is complete but it has not yet been officially handed over to the Council or been furnished.

It is expected that the Málaga Provincial Council will provide the €400,000 needed for equipping the centre, with €250,000 already apparently approved.

The whole project was budgeted at around €3.5 million, with €1.3 million provided by the regional authority, €1.7 million by the municipality and the €400,000 from the provincial government.

The CIV has been built using the old water repositories, a XIX century building located in El Fuerte. It will have two training rooms, a tasting room, a multi-purpose room and a permanent exhibition explaining the history of wine in the Ronda area.
