The provincial delegate from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Dolores Fernández, was in Competa yesterday to visit two projects being funded by the Junta de Andalucía.
The two projects relate to the A-7206 and A-7207 and involve an investment of €4,700,089.
The A-7206 project, from Algarrobo to Cómpeta, involves road construction and renovation, the building of retaining walls and 1,100 metres of concrete-lined ditches.
The A-7207 project covers renovation of the section of road from the junction with the A-7206 up to km 16.1, the border with Torrox.
