The urban section of the A-404 in Coín is open to traffic again after eight months of roadworks.
The road improvement project, costing €2.16 million, is being financed by the Junta de Andalucia and covers the stretch between junction of the A-404 and A-355 (Marbella-Coín) and the intersection with the A-7059 (Cártama-Coín).
Although the road is now open to traffic and the diversions to the Cantarranas industrial estate have been removed, work is still continuing on the road. The project is two months behind schedule but should be completed in January 2010.
The A-404 is not only an important link to Alhaurín el Grande but also to marbella via the A-355.
