A 79 year old woman died yesterday in a fire on the fourteenth floor of an apartment block in Málaga.
The fire started at 18:35 in an apartment block in plaza Villa de Castelldefels, near to Avenida de la Aurora, and although the firefighters were on the scene within minutes, they were not able to save a 79 year old woman in the apartment next to the one in which the fire originated.
The woman, an Argentine national, died from smoke inhalation.
The apartment block was evacuated as thirty firefighters fought to extinguish the blaze.
