It is being predicted that the average Andalucian will spend between €95 and €100 in the January sales.
The Confederación Empresarial de Comercio de Andalucía (CECA) is hoping that the sales will help counter the low sales during the rest of the season.
The January sales are traditionally the time when sales of household equipment and clothes are at their highest, accounting for almost 30% of total annual sales.
