A 76 year old woman in Valderrubio, part of the municipality of Pinos Puente in Granada province, has died after her home became flooded.
The house, in Plaza de la Iglesia, was under three metres of water. Firefighters treated the woman at the scene but she died on the way to the Pinos Puente Health Centre.
Doctors attributed her death to drowning. Her son said his mother suffered from asthma and belives she could have suffered a heart attack after her home became flooded.
