The Town Planning Department of Vélez-Málaga Council has completed the project for the proposed redevelopment of the old railway station.
The project will involve demolishing the old station, considered both unsafe and a bit of an eyesore, and will cost between €150,000 to €200,000. It is hoped to move the bus ticket office to these premises as soon as possible.
Other plans include a 500 space underground car park as well as a number of municipal offices.
