This morning at 11:00 sees the inaugural Air Nostrum flight between Almeria and Sevilla, reducing the journey time between the two cities to less than one hour.
There will be two flights per day each way, morning and evening, to allow for day trips. The maximum cost of a ticket will be €117, although there will be various offers whereby the price comes down to around €36 per flight.
The Junta de Andalucia is providing a subsidy of €12 million to Air Nostrum, paid in four instalments and guaranteeing the service until 2013.
