A 29 year old Bolivian national was arrested in Granada after he attacked his partner and threw bleach in her face.
This latest episode of domestic violence began at 23:00 on Tuesday night after the man returned home intoxicated and became aggressive to his partner and a young girl, issuing forth death threats.
The young girl tried to come between the arguing couple and was thrown against the wall. The man then threw bleach in his partner’s face.
When police arrived on the scene they found the man lying on the floor in a pool of vomit after he decided to drink the bottle of bleach. He and his partner were both transferred to hospital.
It was feared that the bleach attack might have damaged the woman’s vision but, fortunately, this turned out not to be the case.
